Robert J. Blumling is a member of McNees’ Real Estate, Construction & Procurement, and Corporate & Tax Law Groups. His practice is concentrated on construction, real estate and development, land use and zoning, surety, and environmental law.

For nearly 40 years, Robert has represented a significant number of contractors, developers and surety companies regionally, nationally, and internationally. He has advised clients on contract drafting, negotiating, project insurance, and other risk management requirements; and served as first chair before numerous federal and state courts and administrative bodies in jury trials and arbitrations.

Before joining McNees, he was a founding partner of Pittsburgh-based firm Blumling & Gusky LLP, a Pittsburgh-based boutique construction law firm.

Robert earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Law in 1982 and his B.A. from Princeton University in 1979.
