Madeleine represents employers in navigating complex federal and state employment statutes and regulations. She handles a broad range of employment matters including the development of employer policies, multi-state compliance issues, and workers’ compensation litigation.
She represents employers before administrative agencies, defending against claims of harassment, discrimination and retaliation. She counsels clients navigating the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the PA Workers’ Compensation Act. Madeleine also drafts and advises on various employment agreements.
While pursuing her juris doctorate, Madeleine served as a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Writing and Analysis course, and as a Research Assistant for Professor Sara Gerke, evaluating the ethical implications of artificial intelligence on a global scale, with a focus on AI’s use in the healthcare sector.
Prior to attending law school, Madeleine served as a Claim Manager at a 9/11 firm in Manhattan where she managed high priority matters requiring expedited handling to ensure timely recoveries for claimants with urgent needs, and those requiring petitions for increased awards based on severity.
