John represents private and public employers across Pennsylvania in labor and employment law on state and federal compliance and employment policies. He also represents healthcare entities in compliance and privacy matters.
He counsels employees on matters including leave and disability issues, wage and hour issues, employment policies, contracts, discipline, and termination. When matters require hearings and litigation, he represents clients before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts. He also offers counsel in union matters, including collective bargaining and labor negotiations, unfair labor practice charges, grievance and arbitration matters, and labor relations.
He also counsels hospitals and physicians’ practices on compliance with state and federal regulations related to safety and privacy. His work includes risk management and HIPAA counseling. By practicing at the intersection of employment and health, John has a greater understanding of employee privacy across industries and of medical leave and disability laws.
John speaks frequently across the region on topics of employee and patient privacy and employment law updates. He is the member-in-charge of the firm’s State College office.
