Jim has spent over 40 years in the fixed utility industry. Jim now practices in the Energy and Environmental Law Practice Group of McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC’s Harrisburg, PA office, representing industrial users before state and federal regulatory commissions and agencies with respect to utility matters, including natural gas, electric, waster, wastewater and communications. Jim devotes a significant part of his practice to representing industrial interests before state legislatures on energy matters.
The majority of Jim’s practice is before the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and the appellate courts of Pennsylvania. He has participated throughout the Marcellus and Utica Shale Plays and has made presentations regarding the various aspects of interstate shale gas development. He has participated in biofuel and alternative fuel development throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Jim is also involved in the valuation and monetization of private, municipal and municipal authority assets, including water and wastewater facilities.
