Jakob Metz is a real estate attorney who guides owners and managers of residential and commercial properties through Maryland’s property management laws and processes. He handles all matters related to rental properties, multifamily complexes, office buildings, shopping centers, condominiums, homeowner associations and cooperatives, to name a few. Regularly appearing in court on behalf of his clients, Jakob has successfully tried cases throughout the state of Maryland.

In addition to his real estate practice, Jakob has extensive experience litigating workers’ compensation matters and represents clients in all aspects of claims in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining McNees, Jakob practiced at Sagal, Filbert, Quasney & Betten, P.A., a Towson-based boutique real estate law firm. Before joining Sagal, Jakob worked at one of the oldest and largest full-service law firms in the state of Maryland. He was also a licensed realtor, clerked with several other Baltimore metropolitan-area firms and interned for the Honorable Ruth A. Jakubowski in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.

Outside of his work with the firm, Jakob enjoys traveling and is an avid runner and squash player.
