Emily’s practice includes domestic and international trademark and copyright counseling, registration, and litigation. Emily resolves trademark and copyright disputes through negotiated co-existence, licensing, and settlement agreements and represents clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and in federal court.
In May of 2017, Emily helped secure injunctive relief and the cancellation of a federal trademark registration, the outcome of a favorable settlement for her client alleging trademark infringement in a federal court action. In July of 2018, Emily’s arguments before the TTAB allowed a client to overcome Office Action refusals and obtain trademark registrations for its three-dimensional designs on pet treats.
A graduate of University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, Emily worked as a Legal Services Coordinator with the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and volunteered with The Pennsylvania Innocence Project while in law school. She was a Summer Associate at McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC and interned with several law firms in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Emily was a member of Drexel Law Review and the Moot Court Board.
