Emily’s practice includes domestic and international trademark and copyright counseling, registration, and litigation. Emily resolves trademark and copyright disputes through negotiated co-existence, licensing, and settlement agreements and represents clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and in federal court. She also handles international trademark prosecution and anti-counterfeiting matters.
In May of 2017, Emily helped secure injunctive relief and the cancellation of a federal trademark registration, the outcome of a favorable settlement for a client alleging trademark infringement in a federal court action. In July of 2018, Emily’s arguments before the TTAB allowed a client to overcome Office Action refusals and obtain trademark registrations for its three-dimensional designs on pet treats.
