Diane practices in the Construction and Procurement Law Group.
She represents various segments of the construction industry – Owners, Design-Builders, and Contractors. One of her main interests is the structuring of large construction projects. This sphere of work involves the evaluation of various methods of project delivery that are available to meet the project’s financial and the constraints. Diane works with others in the Firm to evaluate financing options and assists in securing grants, loans and other economic incentives offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She regularly counsels clients on grant compliance.
Drafting and negotiating contracts with design professionals, construction firms and consultants are an important part of the process and Diane’s work. Her availability and counseling THROUGHOUT A project helps to ensure a successful completion and the avoidance of costly disputes. Should claims arise, Diane works with clients to evaluate them from a business perspective. Diane effectively resolves matters through negotiations, mediation and litigation.
Bid challenges arise in connection with various items procured by the commonwealth and other public entities. Whether the challenge relates to the procurement of services, equipment, materials or construction, Diane has the experience to handle the matter.
Diane regularly serves as a mediator in private disputes. She has lectured on alternative dispute resolution, lien claims, prevailing wage application, project delivery methods and the avoidance of claims through proper contracting.
