David focuses on assisting clients in developing and selecting cost-reducing energy supply strategies for electricity and natural gas in wholesale and retail markets. Identified cost-saving strategies have included the development of on-site and remote generation solutions, facility operational changes, and the identification of new revenue sources derived from client participation in wholesale energy markets.
David provides continuous monitoring of existing and emerging commercial and regulatory activities across established and evolving energy markets to ensure our clients’ strategies remain appropriate. David is an active participant in the PJM wholesale and retail energy market stakeholder process.
Before joining McNees, David spent 10 years with PJM Interconnection and 7 years with the GPU companies, where he focused primarily on day-ahead and real-time operations and post-event analysis of energy markets. During this time, David participated in many PJM and NERC committees and working groups and served on the U.S.-Canada Power System Outage Analysis Task Force.
