Austin advises businesses, public entities, and nonprofit organizations in labor and employment matters. He draws on over a decade of legal experience to assist clients with day-to-day workplace issues, labor relations, litigation, and regulatory matters.
Employment counseling and litigation
Austin provides day-to-day counsel on federal and state employment laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and related state laws. His work includes employment compliance, discrimination, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour issues, and other workplace matters.
He represents employers in federal and state court litigation and before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, and other administrative agencies. His litigation experience includes discrimination, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour, and class-action matters.
Labor relations and collective bargaining
Austin represents management in collective bargaining, labor negotiations, arbitration, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board. He also advises clients on collective bargaining agreements and labor relations issues.
Investigations and enforcement proceedings
Austin assists clients in responding to investigations and enforcement proceedings involving the DOL’s Wage and Hour Division, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and other state and local agencies.
