Adam DeBernardis practices in the McNees’ real estate team, which offers the scale of services and innovating techniques of a national law firm with the personalized service expected of a hometown legal team. They deliver sophisticated legal advice to a broad range of clients in virtually all areas relating to commercial real estate law.
Prior to rejoining McNees, where he was a law clerk while pursuing his juris doctorate, Adam gained experience as a legal intern with Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company, where he researched and drafted answers to a wide variety of legal fields including torts, employment, telecommunications, alcohol, marijuana and data privacy. As a judicial intern with Cumberland County, he researched cases before the judiciary and both assisted and drafted court documents and judicial opinions.
Before becoming an attorney, Adam had a successful career in the telecommunications industry. For nearly a decade, he was a director of one of the largest multi-channel wireless distributors in the U.S. He launched and grew e-commerce platforms that accounted for nearly 20 percent of the company’s revenue; oversaw four departments; negotiated and procured hundreds of millions of dollars of electronic products for resale from top electronic manufacturers and wireless carriers; and expanded the company’s national product distribution to include numerous well-known retailers.
Adam also served as a Maritime Enforcement Specialist in the U.S. Coast Guard. While there, he implemented a revamped law enforcement training program that rigorously trained numerous active duty and reserve members of the Coast Guard; coordinated and led numerous law enforcement and national security offshore vessel boardings, including multi-agency operations; and managed a vessel screening program that ensured the safety and security of each commercial vessel entering the Cape Fear River.
