Overview
Amara is a trial attorney who represents businesses, professionals, and institutions in commercial, civil, and regulatory disputes. She draws on more than 15 years of government and public-sector legal experience in trial, appellate, and administrative matters.
Her practice includes business and contract disputes, regulatory compliance matters, and appeals. Amara helps clients assess risk and develop a clear approach to litigation and dispute resolution.
Before entering private practice, Amara served as an attorney advisor with the U.S. Department of Justice, where she drafted appellate decisions for the Board of Immigration Appeals. She also served as deputy judicial clerk to Justice P. Kevin Brobson of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and as an assistant district attorney in Lancaster County, where she handled trial and appellate matters and worked with law enforcement on investigations.
Earlier in her career, Amara was managing attorney at the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center, where she led legal operations and represented clients in complex detention matters. Across these roles, she has handled hundreds of matters at the trial and appellate levels, experience that informs her work with clients facing difficult disputes.
