Before joining McNees, Michael served for 16 years as City Controller of Pittsburgh, where he oversaw audits, financial reporting, and public accountability initiatives. He also served as trustee of the city’s Comprehensive Municipal Pension Trust Fund and as the last prothonotary of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. This public-sector experience informs his work advising government clients on finance, operations, pensions, public accountability, and intergovernmental matters.
