Matthew represents businesses, property owners, and developers in commercial, real estate, construction, landlord-tenant, and collections matters in Maryland courts.
Matthew regularly appears as lead counsel in both the Maryland District and Circuit Courts. In Maryland District Court, he routinely serves as lead trial counsel, arguing motions, conducting hearings and bench trials, examining and cross-examining witnesses, and enforcing judgments. In Maryland Circuit Court, he regularly argues motions, conducts hearings, takes depositions, and handles post-judgment enforcement proceedings, including judgment debtor examinations and other collection and enforcement remedies. He routinely drafts complaints and dispositive motions in both Maryland District and Circuit Courts, and also prepares appellate briefs before Maryland’s appellate courts. Matthew further represents clients in court-ordered and private mediations.
Matthew is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the District of Maryland and the District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Outside of practice, he is active in the Frederick community and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
