Kayla represents businesses and organizations in data privacy and security matters. She advises clients on regulatory compliance, artificial intelligence governance, and cross-border data transfer issues.
She counsels clients on emerging AI regulations and ongoing compliance with evolving privacy frameworks. She advises clients on state, federal, and international data privacy and security regulations and handles matters with a particular focus on web tracking technologies, children’s privacy, and student data protection.
Before joining the firm, Kayla served as a Westin Research Fellow at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), where she authored research and member resources on global privacy trends. She also worked with the Future of Privacy Forum, analyzing student privacy policies and evaluating compliance with federal laws. Her experience also includes legal internships with the Federal Communications Commission’s Space Bureau, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the Culpeper Circuit Court.
