Overview
Jeff represents property developers, owners, and lenders in complex real estate matters. He advises clients on high-value finance transactions for commercial and residential properties.
He handles matters involving property sales and acquisitions, loan documentation, lease negotiations, and title and survey review. He advises on federal and state tax credits, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, and New Markets Tax Credits, for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties. He also served as counsel on transactions involving structured credit facilities secured by large pools of multifamily housing properties, including market-rate, affordable, manufactured, senior, and student housing nationwide.
Before joining the firm, Jeff advised on real estate transactions nationwide from his Baltimore-based practice.
In addition to his practice, Jeff provides pro bono counsel to nonprofits and small businesses in his Baltimore community. He serves as President of the Board of Directors of Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and as President of the Board of One House at a Time, a nonprofit organization addressing unsafe, vacant properties in Baltimore.
