What does ESG mean and why are businesses focused on them?

Frannie Reilly, chair of McNees’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team, is explaining what sustainability factors mean to businesses, why businesses are focused on them and the legal implications of ESG disclosures at The In-House Lawyer All Day CLE program hosted by the Association of Corporate Counsel of Central Pennsylvania.

Reilly will explain the concepts of environmental sustainability, social responsibility and ethical, equitable and inclusive governance; what ESG means for large corporations or nonprofits with thousands of employees across multiple locations or a small business working to grow responsibly; and government action to adopt related legal standards.
