Tax attorneys Adam Koelsch and Paul Morcom presented at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) CLE, Assessment Law in Pennsylvania 2026, on May 15, 2026.

Adam presented “Exemption Law Update,” which explored the intricacies of assessment law exemptions in Pennsylvania, with an emphasis on exploring recent court decisions. Paul, along with a panel of industry leaders, presented “Taxing Jurisdiction Appeal Update,” which offered strategies for navigating taxing jurisdiction appeals effectively.

This event coincided with the release of the 19th edition of the book Assessment Law & Procedure in Pennsylvania, available exclusively from PBI.

Adam represents clients in all aspects of Pennsylvania state and local tax controversy and planning, including challenging audit determinations and real estate assessments, and litigating tax cases at the administrative and court levels.

Paul focuses his practice on helping clients reduce assessed tax liabilities and recover significant refunds from tax overpayments. He regularly handles matters involving real estate, sales, use, corporate net income, personal income, PURTA, business privilege, and realty transfer taxes.
