Fiduciary Litigation

Disputes involving estates, trusts, and fiduciaries can put significant financial interests and family relationships at risk. We help clients protect their interests through negotiation, mediation, and litigation when necessary.

Our focus

Estate and trust disputes often arise during periods of transition, bringing legal, financial, and personal challenges. Questions about the validity of a will, the interpretation of a trust, the actions of a fiduciary, or the distribution of assets can quickly become complex. Whether you are serving as an executor, trustee, or guardian, or protecting your interests as a beneficiary, we help you understand your options and develop a strategy that reflects your priorities.

Our fiduciary litigation team represents executors, trustees, guardians, beneficiaries, charitable organizations, and other interested parties in disputes involving estates, trusts, and fiduciary administration. We handle will contests, trust disputes, surcharge actions, guardianship proceedings, elective share claims, and other matters involving the administration or interpretation of estates and trusts. While many disputes can be resolved through negotiation or mediation, we are prepared to advocate for clients in Pennsylvania Orphans’ Court and other courts when litigation is necessary.

Many fiduciary disputes involve more than estate law alone. Closely held businesses, charitable organizations, real estate, and tax considerations often influence both the legal strategy and the outcome. We work with attorneys across the firm to address these issues as part of a coordinated approach that reflects your broader financial and business interests.

Because these matters often involve longstanding family relationships and significant assets, every dispute requires careful judgment and strong advocacy. We help clients evaluate risk, pursue practical resolutions when appropriate, and protect their interests through every stage of the dispute.
