McNees Wallace & Nurick today announced that attorney Eric Beinhart has joined the firm’s Estate Planning Group in Pittsburgh, where he will advise individuals, families and business owners on estate planning and administration matters.
Beinhart’s practice includes wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, probate, and estate administration. He also brings litigation experience, including representing clients in contested estate and guardianship proceedings before the Orphans’ Court.
“Eric brings a nice combination of estate planning and courtroom experience to our team,” said Alison Smith, co-chair of McNees’ Estate Planning Group. “He understands that these matters are personal for the people involved, whether they’re planning for the future or dealing with a difficult family situation. We’re looking forward to having him work with our clients and help us continue growing the practice in Pittsburgh.”
Before joining McNees, Beinhart practiced with Pittsburgh-area law firms, where he counseled clients on estate planning, administration and guardianship matters. He previously served as an attorney with the Allegheny County Public Defender’s Office, representing clients in criminal proceedings.
For Beinhart, joining McNees offers an opportunity to build on that experience while working with attorneys across the firm’s practices and offices.
“What stood out to me about McNees was how closely the attorneys work together, even across different offices and practice areas,” Beinhart said. “I enjoy helping people work through legal issues, whether it’s putting an estate plan in place or handling a more complicated situation. I’m excited to join the Pittsburgh team and contribute to the growth of the estate planning practice.”
Beinhart earned his law degree from William & Mary Law School and his bachelor’s degree in health administration and policy, with a concentration in senior housing and assisted living, from George Mason University.
