A real estate transaction begins with the purpose behind it. A business may need a site for expansion, while an investor may be repositioning a portfolio. Others are preparing a property for development or sale. We help clients structure the transaction around that objective and understand the issues that could affect the property after closing.
Our attorneys negotiate purchase and sale agreements and coordinate the due diligence process. We review title and survey matters, along with leases and other property documents. When land use or environmental conditions influence the transaction, we bring in attorneys with experience in those areas so the client can evaluate the property with a clear understanding of its potential and limitations.
We represent clients in transactions involving commercial and industrial property, as well as mixed-use developments and investment assets. Our work also includes the transfer of real estate as part of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings.
