Michele represents school districts in education and labor and employment matters, as well as in complex litigation. She advises clients in school operations and regulatory compliance, focusing on special education, student and teacher discipline, internal investigations, charter school funding disputes and applications, and employment disputes. Michele also represents school districts as a school solicitor.
She handles matters involving individualized education program (IEP) meetings, 504 plans, due process hearings, special education appeals, and employment claims, including discrimination and wrongful termination. Michele represents clients in administrative proceedings, state agencies, and state and federal courts. She advises on contracts, policy, compliance, and ongoing litigation, and regularly provides training to school administrators on special education compliance and internal investigations.
Before joining the firm, Michele practiced education law with several Pennsylvania firms.
Aside from her legal practice, Michele is the co-chair of the Montgomery Bar Association’s Education Law Committee and is an active Alumni Mentor for Widener University Delaware Law School.
