Ilan Weinberger is a mergers and acquisitions attorney who focuses on navigating clients through mergers, acquisitions, sales and other strategic ventures, often collaborating with teams of attorneys, paralegals and professionals throughout a transactional lifecycle, from term sheet through closing.

He leverages a decade of experience in mergers and acquisitions, sales of closely held businesses, buyouts and recapitalizations, private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate formation, governance, restructurings and compliance, and other general corporate law matters to serve clients in the following industries:

Automotive Dealership Law
Ilan works with dealers in structuring transactions, preparing purchase and sale documents, interacting with lenders and conducting closings. He counsels clients on compliance, consumer and franchise matters as well as general business matters including business and corporate formation, organization and planning as well as choosing and implementing the best business structures for their needs.

Previous Experience
Prior to joining McNees, Ilan was a transactional and business law attorney with three Global 100 firms and worked with a business law and estate planning boutique firm in Maryland. He also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Paul W. Grimm on the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and in the National Security Section of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.

Ilan had a successful career in information technology before becoming an attorney — he worked for a private technology and management consulting firm that served the U.S. Army and for Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He speaks French, Hebrew and Slovak.
