Overview

Ed represents professionals and organizations in litigation and legal ethics matters. He advises clients in professional licensure, compliance reviews, and trial litigation in fields including healthcare, finance, professional liability, real estate, and tax.

He handles complex commercial litigation matters as well as matters before various state licensure boards, where he advises licensed professionals, including attorneys, physicians, accountants, salespersons, and realtors, facing claims of malpractice, ethical violations, and/or licensure challenges. He also advises attorneys and law firms on their ethical responsibilities under Pennsylvania state law and the Rules of Professional Conduct and conducts independent compliance reviews of policies and practices. Ed is an experienced trial attorney and has been involved with numerous appellate cases, licensure compliance tribunals, and national class action cases.

Before joining the firm, Ed practiced civil defense, advising businesses and professionals on professional liability matters at a prominent Philadelphia-based firm. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he served as trial counsel in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps.

Ed serves as Firm Counsel to McNees, advising the firm on ethics, conflicts, and loss prevention. He also serves as in-house counsel on professional and other litigation against the firm and its professionals.
