He handles patent and intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark prosecution, portfolio management, infringement investigations, licensing, and strategic counseling. He represents clients in entity formations, dispute resolution, and commercial contract negotiations. Additionally, he structures supplier, customer, and service agreements for engineering and industrial manufacturing clients, advising on liability allocation, warranties, indemnification, intellectual property rights, and regulatory compliance.
Don blends creativity with practical experience, leveraging his understanding of the business world and more than two decades of patent law practice for an individualized approach to each matter’s unique needs.
Before joining the firm, Don founded and managed a boutique intellectual property firm in Pittsburgh, where he assisted many of the region’s fast-growing businesses and innovators in managing and protecting their portfolios.
