Austin D. Hughey is a member of the McNees Litigation and Public Finance & Government Services Groups.

Austin earned his J.D. from Penn State Law in 2018.  While attending law school, Austin worked with the Penn State Law Entrepreneur Assistance Clinic, the City of Philadelphia Law Department, and the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel.  Additionally, he served for a year as a judicial extern for Judge Katherine V. Oliver of the Court of Common Pleas of Centre County.

Previously, Austin served for three years as a judicial law clerk in Pennsylvania’s trial and appellate courts where he assisted in drafting opinions and orders in a wide variety of cases.  Most recently, he clerked for Justice Sallie Updyke Mundy of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.  Austin also clerked for now President Judge Renée Cohn Jubelirer of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and Judge Clyde W. Vedder of the Court of Common Pleas of York County.
