McNees Honors Attorney Schaun Henry with the Yenkowski Award

HARRISBURG, PA (January 30, 2018) – McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC is pleased to announce attorney Schaun Henry as the 2017 recipient of the Gary F. Yenkowski Client Service Award, awarded to a firm Member in honor of deceased McNees Partner, Gary F. Yenkowski.

The Yenkowski Award recognizes the Member who best exhibited the finest of McNees attributes as displayed by Yenkowski throughout his prematurely shortened career. These include paramount professionalism, tireless marketing, and loyalty and commitment to client service, the community, and the firm.

Schaun practices in the Labor & Employment Group. He provides representation and counseling to employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including employment discrimination cases under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and other federal, state and local issues. Schaun defends employers against charges of discrimination before the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, and in Federal and State courts. He also assists employers with Affirmative Action planning and defense as necessary. He also counsels and defends employers with respect to Immigration related employment issues.

Schaun provides guidance for employers on unfair labor practices and other labor relations issues, as well as providing representation for employers at labor arbitrations and negotiations. He advises employers on a wide variety of personnel issues including hiring, termination and revision of policies. Schaun provides assistance to public employers with respect to collective bargaining and other labor related issues under the Public Employee Relations Act, Act 111 and the Heart and Lung Act.

Before undertaking the practice of law, Schaun served in the Armed Forces. He is now a retired Major of U.S. Army Special Forces. Schaun is a graduate of West Chester University and earned his J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law.
