HARRISBURG, Pa. — (October 22, 2024) McNees Wallace & Nurick announced that
William McLaughlin joined the firm as Director of Marketing, adding to its business development and marketing leadership team.

McLaughlin is a central Pennsylvania native, relocating to the Harrisburg area with his family after spending 15 years working in various marketing and business development roles in Bangkok, Thailand. He brings 10 years of experience in legal marketing to McNees, having served at Baker Mackenzie then ZICO Law. McLaughlin assisted with ZICO Law’s integration with KPMG Law where he served as markets manager for the Asia Pacific region. In that role, he developed regional strategies to expand legal services in diverse markets. He earned a master’s degree in international relations from Webster University in Missouri and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He began his career as an intern at the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and at the Independent Regulatory Review Commission in Harrisburg.
As Director of Marketing, McLaughlin supports McNees’ strategic initiatives for enhancing the firm’s brand position, communications and generating business development leads alongside Chief Practice Officer
Jenna Wagner, who
re-joined McNees three years ago, and Director of Business Development
Briana Hallett Stiff. He heads up the marketing team, which includes communications, graphics, events and digital marketing professionals.

launched a new Baltimore County office and continues to grow its Pittsburgh office, notably adding former City of Pittsburgh Controller Michael Lamb and former PNC Bank chief counsel Alison Smith.
In addition to growing it’s legal practice McNees launched and expanded an ancillary business to meet client needs for
human resource management and strategy and expanded its title company, Pine Street Land Company, which includes a team of Pennsylvania- and Maryland-licensed title agents who conduct commercial and residential real estate settlements. The firm
recently introduced a new unified government relations firm,
McNees GR. Last year, the firm also
launched an alumni program to foster connections between McNees attorneys past, present and future.
