Esch is a member of the McNees Real Estate and Pipeline & Oil/Gas Infrastructure Practice Groups. His practice is relationship driven and focuses on land use matters, including obtaining permits and approvals at the municipal, county and state level. He reaches favorable outcomes for clients in matters involving zoning, subdivision, land development, stormwater, noise, and traffic, among others. Esch also conducts zoning and land use due diligence associated with mergers and acquisitions and the purchase or sale of real property throughout the country.
Esch’s clients operate in all business sectors. Broadly speaking, he represents commercial, industrial and residential developers, educational and religious institutions, car dealerships, pipeline and other oil and gas related companies, telecommunication companies, and smaller businesses and start-ups. Representative projects include warehouse and distribution centers, residential communities of all types, urban redevelopment projects, craft breweries and event venues, mixed-use developments, pipeline projects, and solar infrastructure.
Esch is a member of the Firm’s Hiring Committee and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. He also co-chairs the Firm’s Legal Equity Advancement Program task force and is the editor of the McNees Land Use Blog. He is involved with several non-profits, most recently completing his term as President of the Board of Directors of the Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center. Esch resides in Hampden Township where he coaches youth sports and enjoys time with his wife, three children and their dog.
