Over the course of her nearly 30-year career, Carfley has tried numerous bench and jury trials as lead counsel, and regularly works as local or regional counsel with clients and attorneys located in other jurisdictions.

Carfley has significant experience representing public entities in condemnation actions, including asserting the right of public utilities to condemn property in connection with Marcellus Shale pipeline and infrastructure projects, and litigating just compensation and damages claims related to the same.  Her practice also includes litigating restrictive covenant disputes, business torts, real estate matters and other commercial civil litigation. She has significant experience working on eminent domain matters in particular, regularly defending property owners in federal and state disputes.

McNees’ litigators are adept at navigating local, state and federal court systems at all levels and often help clients reassess their business objectives as a matter develops.
