McNees Attorney to Participate in City of Philadelphia Law Department CLE on Internet of Things

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (July 15, 2019) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorney Devin Chwastyk is taking part in the City of Philadelphia Law Department’s CLE “Is the Internet of Things (IOT) the End of Privacy as We Know It?” in Philadelphia on Thursday, July 25, 2019.  This CLE session is part of the Law Department’s two-day continuing education seminar, Life in the Big City XXV, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Devin, Chair of the McNees Privacy & Data Security Practice Group, will address the regulatory landscape surrounding the Internet of Things, including applicable federal and state regulations, enforcement actions, and potential legal issues and liabilities.  Lastly, he will foresee what may be in store for the future from a regulatory perspective.

Devin advises clients on how to get ahead of data exposure by developing data security policies, privacy disclosures, breach response plans, and associated training programs.  He helps clients remedy and report data security incidents, and limit liability arising from such breaches.
