HARRISBURG – McNees Wallace & Nurick has appointed Adam L. Santucci chair of its Public Sector practice group.

The McNees Public Sector practice group provides comprehensive solutions for solicitors and government officials who face unique legal issues as they operate within a heavily regulated and complicated legal landscape. In his role as chair, Santucci will provide leadership to a team of lawyers from various practice areas who provide a broad, coordinated approach to managing these unique issues efficiently.

“Adam has exceptional public sector law experience and is focused on the ever-changing legal and regulatory issues,” David M. Kleppinger, Chairman of McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC, said. “Adam is a valuable asset to clients and the Firm, and his leadership will significantly strengthen McNees as we continue to grow our Public Sector practice group.”

In addition to the Public Sector practice group, Santucci also practices in the firm’s Labor & Employment, and Food & Beverage practice groups. He defends employers facing discrimination and harassment claims, as well as other types of employment litigation, such as wage and hour claims and wrongful termination suits. He regularly represents and counsels unionized employers in all aspects of labor relations, including collective bargaining and labor arbitration, securing successful grievance arbitration decisions for clients and favorable outcomes in interest arbitration proceedings. He also provides counsel to non-unionized employers looking to remain union-free.

Before joining McNees, Santucci served as the Human Resource Director for the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, and gained six-years’ experience representing the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections in the Labor Relations Division handling employee discipline matters, grievance administration and advocacy, meet and discuss sessions, collective bargaining negotiations, interest arbitration proceedings, and labor relations strategic planning and consulting.

Santucci serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc., where he is helping to build a better community for pets and people.
