Kevin Sunday is a seasoned, trusted and respected public affairs strategist, with more than a decade of experience leading policy development, government relations and communications strategies – including roles with a major statewide business association, a public advocacy firm and Pennsylvania state government.

Kevin helps clients navigate the layers of Pennsylvania’s local, county and state governments. He is a registered lobbyist with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and has a track record of building and executing successful government relations strategies that deliver results.

Before joining McNees, Kevin most recently served as Director of Government Affairs for the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, the largest broad-based business advocacy association in the commonwealth. There, he managed a diverse portfolio of legislative and regulatory advocacy, including matters related to energy, environment, infrastructure and technology. Kevin has helped secure passage of major legislation in the Pennsylvania General Assembly and shape the development and implementation of various energy and environmental regulations. He also has testified and provided comments on key regulatory and legislative matters to various state and federal agencies – including the U.S. Senate and House, the Pennsylvania General Assembly, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), among others. His leadership on these issues was recognized by City & State Pennsylvania, which named him to its 2023 Energy & Environment Power 100 list.

With a background in communications, Kevin’s experience includes media relations, public advocacy communications and government relations strategies. He previously worked as a strategic communications consultant for a Harrisburg-based public advocacy firm and before that was deputy press secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Kevin has been active in his community, serving in leadership roles at both the local and state levels. He serves on the board of directors for the Army Heritage Center Foundation and is the immediate past chair of the board of directors of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross.
