Pennsylvania Interscholastic Esports Association (PIEA) Featured at Scholastic Esports Summit

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (Monday, April 5, 2021)
The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Esports Association’s Langdon Ramsburg and Bill Thomas will serve as panelists at the first annual Scholastic Esports Summit hosted by Harrisburg University of Science and Technology and the Chester County Intermediate Unit on Saturday, April 10, 2021.  The PIEA, a high school governing body, focused solely on esports programs and clubs, was created in part by McNees in December of 2019.

Langdon and Bill will speak about the PIEA and the importance of regulation and integrity in scholastic esports.  They will also provide an update on the Association’s 2021 Spring season, which began last month and ends in May.

The virtual event is for students, teachers, administrators, parents and anyone interested in learning more about scholastic esports.  There will be panels on student participation, coaching, academics, careers and streaming.  To register, click here.
