McNees Labor & Employment Attorneys to Present at McKonly & Asbury’s Collaborate 2019 Conference

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (October 28, 2019) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorneys Denise Elliott and Renèe Lieux are slated to present at McKonly & Asbury’s Collaborate 2019 Conference in Harrisburg on Thursday, November 7.

Denise Elliott will present “Top Ten Things Employers Need to Know About Medical Marijuana and the Workplace” exploring the impact of the PA Medical Marijuana Act on employment, from random and reasonable suspicion drug testing in an environment where seemingly everyone has a card to reasonable accommodations and workplace safety issues.

Renèe Lieux will present “Employee Benefits – What You Need to Know in 2019,” which will cover an update on both welfare and retirement benefits, including the new Individual Coverage HRA and Excepted Benefits HRA, the new regulations on Association Retirement Plans and Multiple Employer Plans, an update on retirement plan guidance and litigation, and an update on the ACA.

Denise practices in the McNees Labor and Employment Practice Group where she focuses on defending self-insured employers in workers compensation matters and providing representation and counsel to clients in employment discrimination litigation; ADA/FMLA compliance; drug and alcohol issues in the workplace; and health and safety.  She is certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Law Section.

Renée practices in the McNees Labor & Employment Practice Group where she focuses on executive compensation and employee benefits.  She assists both private and publicly traded companies in the negotiation of employment agreements, severance agreements and plans, and director and executive compensation programs.  She designs, assists in the implementation of, and analyzes non-qualified deferred compensation plans, equity compensation plans, and cafeteria plans.  Clients also seek her assistance with the administration, compliance, and termination of defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans, and employee stock purchase plans.
