McNees Elects New Management Committee Member

HARRISBURG, PA (Nov. 2) – McNees elects Donna L. Kreiser to the Firm’s Management Committee, effective Nov. 1, 2015. Donna replaces Mark Van Blargan on the Committee after Van Blargan chose to step down after serving in that capacity for nine years. Kreiser is the first female elected to serve in this capacity as well as the first to serve from the Lancaster office.

“These are very exciting times for McNees with opportunities for our clients at multiple levels,” Chairman David Kleppinger stated. “I look forward to working with Donna as well as the other Committee members, as we further advance the successes of our clients and enhance our services to them.”

A Lancaster County resident, Kreiser is co-chair of the Firm’s Financial Services and Public Finance group and also practices in the Municipal Recovery and Public-Private Partnerships groups. She focuses her practice on municipal and project finance law, including economic development, transportation, government, health care, and education.

Kreiser has been recognized as The Best Lawyers in America® since 2013. She currently serves as chair of the Board of Trustees of the Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, chair of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Central Pennsylvania, Inc. and vice chair of the Board of Directors of Community Life Network, in Columbia, Pennsylvania.

Donna is also treasurer of the Pennsylvania Association of Bond Lawyers and was the founding secretary of Ladies First, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational and networking opportunities for female public finance professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region, as well as promoting the role of women in the public finance industry.

Kreiser is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. She received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University. She is located in the firm’s Lancaster office.

Other Members of McNees’ Management Committee are Brian Jackson and David M. Kleppinger who is the Chairman. The committee is the governing body of the firm.
