McNees Attorneys Joe Sileo and Paul Morcom to Speak at Pennsylvania Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals Event

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – McNees Wallace & Nurick attorneys Paul Morcom and Joseph Sileo will speak at an event for the Pennsylvania Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals (PSTAP) on Wednesday, June 21 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Woodlands Resort.

Morcom, of McNees’ State and Local Tax practice group, and Sileo, a member of the McNees Labor & Employment practice group, will present “Labor & Employment Issues and PA Tax Issues and Appeals Process.”

Morcom works in McNees’ Harrisburg office and represents commercial and industrial entities in all areas of state and local taxation, focusing on local property taxes and real estate assessment appeals, as well as state corporate net income, capital stock/foreign franchise, sales and use, PURTA, and gross receipts taxes. He previously worked at the Board of Finance and Revenue and interned at the Office of Attorney General Tax Litigation Section. He has experience before the Pennsylvania Board of Appeals, Pennsylvania Board of Finance and Revenue, county boards of assessment appeals, county courts of common pleas and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.

Sileo, of the firm’s Scranton office, counsels and provides advice and training to employers in all industries with respect to employment-related issues, including wage and hour compliance, work performance management, discipline, equal opportunity and fair employment practices, hiring practices and termination decisions, litigation avoidance, employee leave issues, retaliation, non-compete and separation agreements, unemployment compensation, and also in connection with collective bargaining administration and arbitration matters. He frequently represents employers in connection with OSHA and Wage and Hour matters.
