McNees Attorney honored for service to BIA of Lancaster County

Lancaster, Pa. – (January 24, 2018) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC Attorney Mark Stanley received two separate honors from the both the Pennsylvania State Senate and State House for his service as the president of the Building Industry Association of Lancaster County for the 2017 year.

During the organization’s annual Installation banquet January 17 at Brick Gables in Lititz, Mark was presented a Letter of Commendation from Senator Ryan Aument and a Certificate of Appreciation from Representative Brett Miller. He was also installed as immediate past president of BIA.

For the past 30 years, Mark has been an active member of the Lancaster legal community, practicing in the area of real estate law, with a particular focus on zoning, land use and land development matters. He represents local, regional and national development clients in South Central Pennsylvania, including Lancaster, Lebanon, Dauphin, York and Berks Counties. Mark is actively involved with numerous real estate industry organizations that focus on local, regional and statewide development and transportation issues.

Mark counsels commercial, residential, industrial and mixed use development clients on all aspects of the land development entitlement process. He regularly appears before municipal planning commissioners, governing bodies, zoning hearing boards and state agencies. Mark regularly advises development clients on Department of Transportation and Highway Occupancy permit issues.

Since the BIA was formed in 1956, it has provided high-quality service and remained a major player in promoting a balanced smart-growth approach to development in Lancaster County. The BIA represents a broad diversity of backgrounds, mirroring the rich diversity present in the Lancaster population that it serves and supports.
