McNees Real Estate Attorneys Offer Insight on New Land Uses and Zoning Regulations

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (Tuesday, April 20, 2021) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorneys Jamie Strong and Esch McCombie will present on land use and zoning regulations for the PA State Association of Township Supervisors’ 2021 PAAZO Spring Virtual Educational Forum on Friday, April 23, 2021, and its 2021 PSATS Educational Conference on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

Jamie and Esch, alongside Jamie Keener of the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation, will encourage attendees to consider new uses that have evolved and their impact on townships.  Trends to be discussed include zombie kitchens, man caves and she-sheds, emotional support animals, DAS/small cells, short-term rentals, temporary uses, and distribution centers. They will also offer advice on zoning ordinance updates to address these new uses.

Jamie Strong practices in the McNees Real Estate Practice Group, where he primarily represents wireless telecommunications providers and tower companies in land use and leasing matters.  Jamie advises his clients in zoning and land use proceedings before municipal planning commissions, governing bodies and zoning hearing boards throughout Pennsylvania.  He also represents clients in the acquisition, sale, development and leasing of real estate.

Esch McCombie practices in the McNees Real Estate and Pipeline & Oil/Gas Infrastructure Practice Groups.  Esch focuses his practice on land use matters, including obtaining permits and approvals at the municipal, county, and state levels.  Using his experience and relationships, he reaches favorable outcomes for clients in matters involving zoning, subdivision, land development, stormwater, noise, and traffic, among others.  Esch has assisted commercial, industrial, and residential developers, educational institutions, pipeline and other oil and gas-related companies, telecommunication companies, small businesses, and start-ups.
