McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC served as legal counsel to Brubacher Excavating, Inc. and its affiliates in their strategic acquisition of Abel Construction and Abel Recon, two Mountville, PA-based companies with a long-standing reputation in construction and underground utility rehabilitation services. The transaction closed at the end of May.
Brubacher, a family-owned contractor based in Bowmansville, PA, provides earthwork, underground utility, and paving services for commercial, industrial, residential, and public clients across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. The acquisitions support Brubacher’s long-term growth strategy, expanding its geographic footprint and capabilities, particularly in underground utility replacement and rehabilitation.
With over 50 years of service, Abel Construction has delivered infrastructure solutions across Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. Abel Recon will continue to operate under its established brand near York, PA, while Abel Construction will integrate under the Brubacher name.
