McNees Wallace & Nurick’s Mergers & Acquisitions team advised Innovative Packaging Solutions in its sale to Welch Packaging Group, Inc.
Headquartered in York, Pa., Innovative Packaging Solutions was founded in 2000 as a full-service provider of turnkey corrugated packaging solutions, including die/cut production, high-end design and sales solutions, reels and spools manufacturing and fulfillment services. Welch Packaging Group, Inc., headquartered in Elkhart, In., serves customers from 18 manufacturing facilities, two distribution centers and a packaging supply business and provides industrial packaging, retail-ready packaging and offers assembly and fulfillment services.
The McNees team was led by member attorney Joshua D. Cohen, assisted by of counsel attorney Ilan Z. Weinberger. Innovative Packaging Solutions turned to Cohen, who has been legal counsel for the business since its start-up phase, to represent its interests in the transaction, negotiate the terms of the sale and lead the closing process. Cohen collaborated with IPS’ investment banking and advisory firm SC&H Capital.
