McNees attorney Schaun D. Henry will present a webinar titled “Transgender Issues and the Law: Title VII, Title IX and Equal Protection” for ALFA International.

Schaun Henry will lead a webinar on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Central Time.  The program will address how schools treat transgender students as it relates to accommodations for the use of locker rooms or restrooms.  These issues have become a hotly debated issue throughout the country.  It is anticipated that the issue regarding the treatment of transgender students’ and employees’ use of restrooms and locker rooms will continue throughout the Federal District Courts within the United States.  Our panelists will discuss the evolution of transgender issues and the law, several recent Federal decisions and best practices for employers to attempt to avoid litigation.

Schaun D. Henry is a partner of the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania ALFA International law firm of McNees, Wallace & Nurick LLC, where he provides representation and counseling to employers on a wide range of federal, state, and local labor and employment matters.  He defends employers in Federal and state employment litigation matters and provides guidance for employers on unfair labor practices and other labor relations issues, as well as providing representation for employers at labor arbitrations and negotiations.  Schaun is intimately familiar with employer compliance issues and provides full service assistance with vexing requirements like Affirmative Action plans and planning.
