Kate practices in the Real Estate Group at McNees with a focus in residential and commercial development, property acquisition, lease negotiation, and land use concerns.
Her knowledge and experience include a thorough understanding of the preliminary stages of any development, including but not limited to, zoning concerns, ordinance amendments, MPC and SALDO compliance, special exceptions, variance and conditional use applications, as well as resolving disputes concerning municipal permits. Kate’s core understanding of land use matters enables her to effectively advise and assist developers in the creation of residential planned communities, condominiums, commercial developments, and mixed-use projects.
Kate has extensive experience in reviewing, negotiating, and drafting commercial lease agreements, complex purchase option agreements, amendments and addendums thereto, easements, recording instruments, and settlement agreements involving a variety of property disputes. Using her prior litigation experience, Kate reviews and approaches real estate transaction matters in a practical manner, with a goal of limiting the client’s liability, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and meeting the client’s objectives.
Kate and her family reside in Cumberland County Pennsylvania.
