Alexis Spurlock represents schools and educational institutions in labor and employment matters, with a focus on Title IX and employment discrimination.
Throughout Pennsylvania, she advises on matters of employment by school districts, including discrimination, sexual harassment, access and accommodations for special needs and LGBTQ+ students, termination, and student discipline. She regularly holds training sessions for educators, investigators, and administrators on Title IX and compliance with federal and state policies.
When schools require defense in labor and employment or Title IX litigation, Alexis provides counsel from administrative hearings to commonwealth and federal court proceedings at each stage.
Before joining the firm, Alexis practiced at a Philadelphia-area law firm, where she handled claims before the U.S. District Court, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Office for Civil Rights, and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. She also served as assistant district attorney for the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, where she investigated and prosecuted sexual offences and major crimes.
