McNees is pleased to announce that Dr. Ivy Buchan, Helix Strategies will present a Not-For-Profit Webinar, Navigating COVID-19, on May 5, 2020, 2-3 p.m.  This event is hosted by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC.

During these unprecedented times, we all are learning to adjust. Dr. Buchan will address how nonprofits can navigate board engagement and development strategies during COVID-19 now and in the months to come.

About the Speaker

Dr. Ivy R. Buchan fell in love with board governance and volunteerism in high school as the president of a community service club, and then while working at a domestic violence shelter in college she decided to focus her career in the nonprofit sector. She is now the President of Helix Strategies, LLC and for the last 19 years she has worked with nonprofits to raise funds and develop their leaders and programs for sustainable success. Ivy and her team specialize in fundraising strategies, board development, strategic planning, and program evaluation.

She has her Ph.D. in Administration and Leadership Studies in the Nonprofit Sector with a research focus of team collaboration and engagement. Ivy is also only one of 30 Licensed Consultants through PANO’s Standards for Excellence, focusing on legal and ethical standards for nonprofit governance. She co-founded two nonprofits, serves on several nonprofit boards, and edited three nonprofit textbooks.
