McNees welcomes intellectual property attorney Cara Mia Pinto to Pittsburgh team

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — (April 2, 2024) Trademark attorney Cara Mia Pinto joined McNees’ Pittsburgh team, bringing to the intellectual property group nearly a decade of experience developing trademark portfolios and protecting brands.

Keynotes:

  • Cara Mia Pinto joined McNees’ Pittsburgh office as an Of Counsel attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group.
  • Pinto supports clients across all industries ranging from large multinationals to start-ups on trademark portfolio development, management and maintenance. She advises on trademark clearance, prosecution, protection and enforcement.
  • With Pinto’s addition, McNees’ intellectual property team now includes 16 attorneys, paralegals and specialists who serve clients worldwide from offices throughout Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.

Pinto supports clients in the selection and registration of trademarks in the U.S. and abroad, proper trademark usage, opposition and cancellation proceedings, filing trademark applications and overseeing post-registration maintenance. She also advises on privacy policies and terms of use agreements.

Before joining McNees, Pinto focused on intellectual property matters at Am Law 200 firm K&L Gates’ Pittsburgh office and also gained experience at IBM. She earned her law degree, with a concentration in intellectual property, from Duquesne University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in Spanish from Pennsylvania State University.
