Press Releases

LANCASTER, Pa. – (August 31, 2021) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC labor and employment attorney Denise E. Elliott is serving on a human resources advisory board, assembled by HR.com, to counsel industry members on trends, best practices and ways to prepare for future challenges.

Elliott is one of 17 industry thought leaders on the 2021 State of Legal, Compliance & Employment Law Advisory Board. They are tasked with providing HR.com’s members timely and actionable information on key areas within that realm. Those include issues generating the most uncertainty in the industry and how to address them, legal challenges caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic, and employer obligations altered due to increased work-from-home activities, among others.

“It is my privilege to serve on the advisory board. I look forward to contributing to the group by sharing insights and concerns I encounter daily,” Elliott said. “I’m also excited to learn from the other members of the board to better serve and advise clients of McNees.”

A report will be published by the HR Research Institute based on the advisory board’s work and a free, virtual event, scheduled for October 27, 2021, will discuss the group’s findings.

Elliott practices in the McNees Labor and Employment Practice Group, where she focuses on defending self-insured employers in workers’ compensation matters and providing representation and counsel to clients in employment discrimination litigation; ADA/FMLA compliance; drug and alcohol issues in the workplace; and health and safety. She is certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Law Section.  Elliott is a frequent writer and speaker on the topic of medical marijuana in the workplace and serves on the Pennsylvania Chamber’s Medical Marijuana Workgroup.
