McNees Attorney Denise E. Elliott Elected To The Board Of Directors For Girls On The Run Lancaster

Lancaster, PA. (June 30, 2015) – Denise E. Elliott, Of Counsel of the law firm of McNees Wallace and Nurick LLC recently was elected to serve a three year term on the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run of Lancaster. She is resident in McNees’ Lancaster office and practices with the firm’s Labor & Employment Group.

As a member of the McNees Labor and Employment Practice Group, Denise focuses her practice on defending self-insured employers in workers compensation matters and providing representation and counsel to clients in employment discrimination litigation, ADA/FMLA compliance, safety and health issues.

Denise is a former coach for the Centreville Elementary Girls on the Run team and will be the head coach of a newly formed team at St. Anne School this fall.  Denise previously served on the Board of Directors of the Hands-on House Children’s Museum for six years, including one year as chair. Currently, Denise serves as a classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement of Central PA, as a mentor/facilitator for the Junior Achievement Young Women’s Futures Symposium, as a mentor for the Lancaster Chamber’s Women in Business Mentoring Program and on the parent School Board at St. Anne School, where she chairs the Facilities Committee.  Denise is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Lancaster.

Denise received her J.D. from Temple University, James E. Beasley School of Law and her undergraduate degree from University of Delaware.  She is a frequent speaker on workers’ compensation and employment law topics and has been named a 2014 Select Lawyer. Denise is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and before the Federal District Courts in the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the Lancaster Bar Association where she served as past chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section.

About Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run of Lancaster is a chapter of Girls on the Run International ®, founded in 1996.  The Lancaster Chapter began in the fall of 2009 and has continued to grow each year. Girls on the Run® is a nonprofit character development program that provides life-changing, experiential learning programs for girls age eight to thirteen years old.
