McNees Announces New Management Committee Member and Diversity Committee Chair

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (November 17, 2020) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC elects Robert Weishaar, Jr. to the firm’s Management Committee and selects him to Chair the Diversity Committee.

Bob joins McNees Chair Brian Jackson and Donna Kreiser on the Management Committee, which governs the firm in providing excellent service designed to exceed our clients’ needs and enhance their successes.

“Throughout his tenure at McNees, Bob has been a key contributor, a trusted adviser and an exceptional leader,” said McNees Chair Brian Jackson.  “We are very excited that Bob will be expanding his leadership roles in our firm in these new and important areas.”

Working cohesively with McNees’ Management Committee, the Diversity Committee leads the firm’s commitment to hire and retain people of diverse backgrounds and utilize their talents and experiences to provide the best possible service.  McNees strives to support diversity in its communities, most recently through the Legal Equity Advancement Program (LEAP), which awards up to five black-owned or black-controlled businesses with up to a year’s worth of pro bono legal services.

 

Bob co-chairs the McNees Energy & Environmental Group.  His practice focuses primarily on matters involving the state and federal regulation of electricity supply and delivery, natural gas supply and delivery, and oil pipelines.  Bob has appeared before state regulatory commissions in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Virginia, and Ohio; before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; and before various state and federal appellate courts.  Bob is a past President of the Energy Bar Association, a 2,000-member national organization of attorneys and other energy professionals who are dedicated to advancing the professional excellence of those engaged in energy law, regulation and policy through professional education, exploration of diverse viewpoints, and building connections within the energy community.
