McNees adds corporate M&A attorney Ian Brinkman to Lancaster office

LANCASTER, Pa. (July 22, 2025) – McNees Wallace & Nurick today announced that Ian Brinkman has joined the firm’s Lancaster office as part of the Corporate and Tax Group. He advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, and nonprofit transactions.

Brinkman counsels family-owned and closely held companies through M&A transactions across Pennsylvania, with experience in contract drafting, negotiations and leveraged buyouts. He also advises on tax-exempt status, governance and compliance.

Before joining McNees, Brinkman practiced at a Lancaster-based firm, advising clients on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters. Earlier in his career, he worked in the nonprofit sector, supporting grant writing and programming for community-based organizations.

Brinkman’s addition expands McNees’ transactional services for businesses and nonprofits in central Pennsylvania and supports the continued growth of the firm’s Lancaster team.

“Ian brings a thoughtful, business-minded approach to every deal,” said Timothy M. Finnerty, co-chair of the McNees Corporate and Tax Group. “Clients appreciate his ability to simplify complex issues and help them move forward with confidence.”

Brinkman earned a law degree from Penn State University’s Dickinson School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from American University.
