Esports Team Owner and Recruiting Professional Highlighted at McNees, Harrisburg University and Whitaker Center Seminar

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (August 9, 2018) The co-owner of the Pittsburgh Knights and a Senior Partner of Harvard Group International are slated to speak at the McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC, Harrisburg University and Whitaker Center Esports Seminar on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Whitaker Center in Harrisburg.

James O’Connor, founder of the professional esports team Pittsburgh Knights, and Chuck Cain of staffing and recruiting company, Harvard Group International, will serve as panelists discussing esports team ownership. From the purchase process, to immigration issues, to intellectual property protections, this panel will cover a variety of experiences, challenges and solutions.

O’Connor was once among the top Counter-Strike players in the world and coached several esports teams. He is also the former co-owner of the LA Renegades, now the Detroit Renegades. The Pittsburgh Knights esports team was launched in December 2017 with the mission of bringing best practices from traditional sports and applying them to esports.

Cain does executive searches for professional sports organizations from around the world for Harvard Group International. The seminar, led by the McNees Esports Practice Group, will also cover the legitimacy of esports, its role in higher education, gambling, and investing & sponsorship opportunities.

Registration for the Esports Seminar costs $99. On-site registration and continental breakfast will be from 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. Lunch will be sponsored by the Pennsylvania Esports Coalition.
